At the time I met Jody and Ben, I was working at a hospital in my hometown. Jody and Ben were both registered nurses at the hospital when their love story began. Jody and Ben opted for a small intimate wedding at Vista Hermosa Park in Los Angeles surrounded by their families and close friends. It was such a beautiful day that could not have been ordered any better if we actually had control over the weather.
Even the officiant for their ceremony, like many of the guests, was a friend of the couple. Jody and Ben were married by Sam, one of the chaplains at the hospital where they both worked.
One unmistakable thing with wedding is that love is a powerful emotion and when there is true love, it is hard to keep it from shining through because you can see it in a person’s eyes and smile. It is evident how much Jody and Ben love each other by the way they looked at each other throughout the ceremony.
One of my favorite parts during the wedding day is stepping away with the couple for more portraits after the ceremony has been completed.
