I met Natassia through graduate school at California State University, Long Beach. We are both studying Human Factors Psychology.
When she found out she was pregnant, she reached out to me about the possibility of doing a maternity shoot with a comic book emphasis because her son was going to be named Logan and she wanted to incorporate the inspiration of his name into the photos.
I started thinking that you know a kid is going to be a total rock star when his parents decide to name him Logan. You may be thinking there isn’t anything special about the name Logan…but if you are a comic book fan and have not lived under a rock for the last 15 years you know there is something awesome about being named Logan. That is because being named Logan you automatically get connected to not just any Logan, but the one and only LOGAN as in Wolverine which has been made so famous by Hugh Jackman. So naturally I was instantly hooked with the idea and we began planning how it would happen.
This enthusiastic comic book couple did not hold back when bringing out the Wolverine paraphernalia. There were signed copies comic books, comic book signs, and comic book shirts. Jason and Natassia each took some time to read to Logan during the session.
I can’t wait to meet Logan, but it was an absolute joy to spend time with Jason and Natassia in preparation for Logan’s arrival!
